VITAA Day 2020 – 26 January

The Flag event of the year 2020 was the 25 Annual Alumni meet which was held on
th
26 of January 2020 at the premises of Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore with the
th
mission to reunite with our friends, faculty and Almamater.

Our Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan, Vice Presidents Mr. Sankar Viswanathan, Dr. Sekar

Viswanathan, Mr. G. V. Selvam, Executive Director Dr. Sandhya Pentareddy, Assistant

Vice President Ms. Kadhambari S. Viswanathan, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Anand A Samuel,

Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. S. Narayanan, Registrar Dr. Sathyanarayanan, VITAA Core

Committee members, Office-bearers, Chapter coordinators and Alumni members

participated in the meet. Nearly 8000 members (alumni & family) were present on
campus for the meet.

Hon'ble Mr. Justice P. Sathasivam, Former Chief Justice of India and Former Governor of

Kerala was the Chief Guest and our Chancellor presided over the meeting. During this

event, the Central Office bearers of VITAA were announced by our Beloved Chancellor

for the next two-year term (2020-2022).

Outstanding Alumni in 2019 were awarded the “Distinguished Alumni Awards” under

different categories like Academics & Research, Corporate Career, Entrepreneurship and

Social Development. Young Alumni Achiever Award was also presented to an

outstanding alumni below 30 years of age.
