10. The Times of India Cultural Competition - Fresh Face of Chennai, was a roaring
success on 14
th
September 2013. The celebrity judges were Cine Actor Sethu of the
movie ‘Kanna Laddu Thinna Asaiya’ and RJ Vaidhi. Our students’ excellent
performance posed a challenge to the judges themselves. The semifinalists were as

Saksham International comprising
21 students from SMBS represented VIT-Chennai at COOKEVILLE, Tennessee,
U.S.A. An ALL TERRAIN VEHICLE has been completely designed and fabricated
to participate in SAE BAJA INTERNATIONAL event under the guidance of
Dr.Padmanabhan .R.
Our VIT Chennai team was the only Indian
Team to pass
Honda
Technical-Inspection
and participate in endurance race (final race).This was one
among top 10 teams got selected for Cost Audit.Our VIT chennau team was ranked
38/100 in Polaris Design Event and Ranked 70/100 in Honda Endurance Race.
