Additional multi-media classrooms are available in Technology Tower and other
buildings, inside the campus.
With the timely up gradation of all of our classrooms and proper scheduling of
classes, these resources are adequate to meet the current instructional needs and can
be scaled up to meet growing requirements.
e)
Students’ laboratories
The school of Electronics Engineering has fourteen fully operational undergraduate
instructional laboratories information regarding the location, utilization, adequacy for
instruction, and the size of the fully operational instructional laboratories.
The department has several research laboratories that are used by students for project
work.
MEMS & Sensor Systems Lab:
The lab has excellent facilities for both the software simulation and hardware analysis
of the MEMS & sensor systems.
Software tools such as CoventorWare software, COMSOL, and IE 3D have been are
made available.
In the hardware section, advanced apparatus such as gyroscope apparatus, D.C
position control sensor system, Vibration analyzer, analog and digital IC tester, Laser
optical displacement sensor, Fiber tapering machine, Agilent lab station etc. have
been equipped.
Communication Lab (Hardware):
This lab has been equipped with state of the art equipment from agilent technologies
such as Digital IQ modulation set and MPLS set, combined worth over Rs. 25,
00,000.
This lab generally focuses on modulation techniques such as AM, FM, PAM, PWM
and AWGN noise analysis and also the digital communication techniques such as
ASK, PSK, PCM, Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum Techniques, PN Sequence
Generation etc.
Communication Lab (Software):
The software lab has 60 computer systems with OPNET (Version: Modeler 11.5, 12
& 14) installed.
The main focus of this lab is to analyze protocols and queuing concepts and
networking concepts of LAN, WAN and WLAN.
Thesis related work is also done in the lab using OPNET software.
Microwave Lab:
The main focus of this lab is to implement RF active & passive circuit design in AWR
software.
MATLAB tool is used in designing of arrays such as end fire array and broad side
array. For projects and thesis related work on Antenna design, IE 3D software is being
used.
