The University has given a free hand to the faculty members to involve in
consultancy.
3.5.5 List the broad areas of consultancy services provided by the
university and the revenue generated during the last four years.
The following are the major areas of consultancy service offered by different
Schools of the University.
Analysis of the spectral data, explosive, oil, biofuel, effluent, analysis,
fertilizer and heavy metal analysis.
Product development and food industry.
Energy conservation, energy audit, testing and electronic circuit using Snap
kits.
Diesel engine testing, biofuel, vehicle driver controls, low cost farm
equipments, effluent treatment plant and machine design.
Counseling for company employees around Vellore.
Revenue generated via consultancy in the last 4 years (2009-13)

3.6 Extension Activities and Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR)
3.6.1 How does the university sensitize its faculty and students on its
Institutional Social Responsibilities? List the social outreach
programmes which have created an impact on students’ campus
experience during the last four years.
The University encourages its faculty members and students to take
part in various social movements like National Service Scheme, Energy and
Environment Protection Club, Youth Red Cross and others. Some of the
activities are listed below:
