3.4.6 What is the official policy of the university to check malpractices
and plagiarism in research? Mention the number of plagiarism cases
reported and action taken.
The SRDC scrutinizes the research proposals before they are being submitted
to the funding agency.
It is mandatory for the students / scholars / faculty to submit the TURN-IT-IN
report before the research thesis / dissertation / conference paper / journal
manuscript is submitted to the office concerned. Only if the similarity index is
below 20%, further processing is taken up.
There are
no instances of plagiarism by either students or faculty members
in this University.
3.4.7 Does the university promote interdisciplinary research? If yes, how
many interdepartmental / interdisciplinary research projects have been
undertaken and mention the number of departments involved in such
endeavors?
Though there are a number of interdisciplinary projects, there have been only
a few interdepartmental projects.

The projects undertaken at the research centres are mostly of interdisciplinary
in nature and more details will be provided during the peer team visit.
3.4.8 Has the university instituted any research awards? If yes, list the
awards.
Publication in a Scopus-indexed journal is a requirement for the award of
research degrees. The University recognizes faculty members for their
publication in peer-reviewed journals. Depending on the number of
publications, impact factor of the journals in which the articles are published,
the faculty members are recognized. Such recognition is done in an annual
function, normally called on during the months of March-April every year.
The faculty members receive a certificate of appreciation and cash award, in
recognition of their achievements in research. The number of faculty
