6.5.3 Is there a central body within the University to continuously
review the teaching learning process? Give details of its structure,
methodologies of operations and outcome?
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was formulated for monitoring
the quality parameters in VIT University based on the recommendations given
by National Assessment Accreditation Committee. IQAC reviews the teaching
learning process. Internal auditing of Schools and faculty members is regularly
done by the IQAC which has lead to vast improvement.

6.5.4 How has IQAC contributed to institutionalizing quality assurance
strategies and processes?
IQAC contributes to institutionalizing quality assurance strategies and
processes by performing the following tasks.
Develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement
in the performance of institutions;
Significant and meaningful contribution in the post-accreditation phase
of institutions;
Channelize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic
excellence;
6.5.5 How many decisions of the IQAC have been placed before the
statutory authorities of the University for implementation?
IQAC has represented for the following decisions made during its meetings to
the authorities of the University.
To provide seed-funding to young faculty members for starting their
research career
Scientific collaborations with well established universities
Implementation of project based and research based learning
Bring in excellence in science, engineering and technology education
through establishment of Research Centres and also expanding linkage with
industry
