6.3.4 What are the measures taken by the University for attracting and
retaining eminent faculty?
Our human resource policies and practices are geared towards
attracting and recruiting the best, rewarding, and recognizing and retaining
them by giving Performance Incentives, Annual PhD Allowance etc., The
policies and practices are comparable to some of the best in the industry.
All employees are valued and respected and have opportunities to
develop their full potential and pursue a career path of their choice.
Existing academic freedom, sponsored projects and infrastructural
facilities are a source of big attraction to researchers searching for a favorable
work environment.

years? If yes, mention a few salient findings.
The University does conduct a gender audit for faculty, staff and
students.
As a policy, the University does not discriminate faculty on the basis
of any factor, including gender.
The number of female students is on the rise in majority of the UG, PG
and PhD programs. The number of female students is more in a few
programmes. In the current year 6270 female students have enrolled (of a total
of 22237 students).
There are substantial numbers of female faculty (365) and staff
members. (193)
