Placement consortium:
As part of its social outreach programme, VIT has formed a Placement
Consortium to help the engineering and science students of neighbouring
colleges. Students from these colleges in the nearby towns of Villupuram,
Vellore, Ranipettai, Kancheepuram, Chittoor, Tirupati, Kuppam and Puttur
benefit immensely from this Consortium. Reputed companies like Wipro,
Cognizant, Syntel, Siemens, Accenture, IBM, HCL, Sasken, CSC, Hexaware,
Birlasoft, Keane, iGate, i-flex, AIG Software, etc., have conducted campus
interviews and recruited students through the Consortium.
