How does the university involve and encourage its students to
publish materials like catalogues, wall magazines, college magazine,
and other material? List the major publications/ materials brought
out by the students during the last four academic sessions.
All these activities are encouraged through the different clubs. The
following are some of the paper presentations.
o
Mrs.P. Mangayarkarasi awarded Best paper entitled ‘ACL Rupture in
Women Athletes’.
o
Mrs.P. Mangayarkarasi presented a paper on ‘The Contribution of the
Type of Blood Groups in the Selection of Swimmers for the
Competition’.
o
Mrs. P. Mangayarkarasi and Mr. N.V. Thiyagachanthan, presented a
paper on Innosport Technology and Human Factor.
o
Mr A.Sathish Kumar and Mrs. Indumathi presented a paper on Effects
Of Progressive And Fluctuated Weight Trainings Selected Power And
Strength Parameters.
5.3.4
Does the university have a Student Council or any other similar
body? Give details on its constitution, activities and funding.
The University does have a Student Council with representatives from
all the programmes of the University. The Student Council is headed
by a President, them Vice-Presidents, Secretary and Joint Secretaries.
The final year student is heads the council as the President. The
Student Council bridges the gap, if any, between the students and the
administrators. The Council oversees the activities of the different
Student clubs and chapters. They are also responsible for conducting
various activities to the new students and create awareness on different
aspects of the Univesity (Academic as well as non-Academic).
Normally, an ice-breaking session is arranged by the Council to
familiarise the freshers.
