The lectures focus on the career path and orientation to the students. The
recently conducted ‘India Emerge Youth Summit 2013’ (IEYS 2013) during
the technical fest GraVITas 2013, focused on the theme “Public Policy
framework- yesterday, today and tomorrow”. The event saw a gathering of
young and talented minds gather to discuss the policies of our nation and how
it affects the society around us as a whole. The summit witnessed speakers
from all across the country including the likes of Padmashree Syed
Kirmani(Former Indian Cricket Wicket Keeper), Dr. S. S.
Meenakshisundaram (Former IAS officer and Joint Secretary to three Indian
Prime Ministers), Mr. Josy Joseph (Editor – Special Projects, The Times of
India) amongst several others who delivered keynote addresses at the
conference. Several such events conducted helped in igniting and motivating
the young minds.

Does the university provide assistance to students for obtaining
educational loans from banks and other financial institutions?
The University facilitates the students to obtain education loans from the
banks by providing the necessary documents. Also, the banks like Indian
Bank, City Union Bank, State Bank of India put up stalls during the
admission of the students, thus enabling the process to be easier.

The University does publish its updated prospectus and handbook
annually. It is made available to the prospective students and to be public
in the VIT website. Additionally, hardcopies of the handbook is also made
available to the applicants, aspiring for admission to any of the
programmes of the University.
