        More researchers and Nobel orates in science, especially in physics, contributed their lives to science

        and technology development. Therefore, in the spirit of women's contribution to science, we organized
        a one-day workshop, "Challenges and achievements of women in science" (IWCAWS-2021).

        Learning about materials on the nanoscale with

        Scanning Probe Microscopes

        Prof. Maria Teressa Cuberes, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Almadén, Spain

        Prof. Maria explained the basics and her contribution to the
        scientific world, an exciting lecture for the scholars and faculty.
        In particular, she elaborated her topic on Ballistic Electron

        Emission Microscopy and various scanning probe microscopy
        and their possibilities for the characterization of the electronic

        response at semiconductor interfaces and applications. In
        addition, she emphasized Atomic Force Microscopy with
        ultrasound excitation and its application to the study of the
        nanoscale elastic dynamic, viscoelastic, and adhesive properties.

        The hard and soft samples with subsurface information vital for a functional material can be extracted

        using this technique.
