EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This thesis introduces the design of a Pilgrims Hub- a multi-faceted complex that
works as a cultural and communal space for the pilgrims. The museum, library,
auditorium, and accommodation area are only some of the functions embedded
in the design which work to enhance the pilgrimage. The hub functions as the

pause space that works as a stop to reflect, learn and engage as a community to
reconnect with the culture and spirituality of pilgrimage. The museum serves to
educate pilgrims on the history and traditions of the pilgrimage and offers
exhibits that motivate the users to be part of the story. an auditorium featured
in the design serves as a conference area as well as a performance hall and a
communal chamber. Processing by people, the library functions as a silent
studying and contemplation area that contains numerous books regarding
religions, history, and cultural facets of pilgrimage. This design supports
sustainable design approaches such as natural ventilation, solar energy, and
water recycling. The water features enable the landscaping to remain true to the
indigenous plants used, which saves the ecosystem. Thus, this thesis has been
harmonized not only to have the pilgrims continue to use the temple but also
ensure the surrounding nature, and people are integrated culturally
