Sub soil investigation - Geotechnical Appraisal
                     1)  Road pavement of thickness upto 0.7 meter.
                         2) Red gravely silty sand with occasional boulders.
                         3) Grey marine clay.
                         4) Highly Weathered basalt.
                         5) Moderately weathered to fresh basalt.
                     These may occur in the period of May/June or October/November. The last severe cyclone off
                     the coast of Mumbai was experienced in June 1996. Prior to this the earlier cyclone occured in
                     1992.
                     Activity patterns around the heritage district throughout the day and the Time periods of
                     12pm – 2pm and 4pm – 6pm being the prime timing of user activity around the site.

                     The Cruise terminal on the pier is surrounded by continuous access roads 10-20m wide, with a
                     central connecting route to the berthing level.
                     • The Mumbai International Cruise terminal provides maximum facilities
                     compared to other cruise terminals in the country.
                     • To be able to cater to 2 cruise ships docked at the same time.
                     • To create a platform of public engagement and revenue-generating functions.
