6 Concept
6.1 Meditation hall:

Roof: Tensile fabric is used for the roof
to give light and shade to the inner space
Structure : Intersecting bamboo elements
in all four arched in a grid pattern
Concept: Bamboo pavillion which is a temporary structure used
for meditation center, intersecting two hyperbolas and parabolas to create the form, simple
construction shows great
potential of bamboo material
Function: The internal space is used for meditating purpose, its being completely open on either
sides to attract people and to intergrate into landscape. This structure also creates a visual landmark,
drawing attention of visitors who are walking towards the eco park
The shape of the roof gives shade to the inner space , protects from sun and rain. The openings on
four sides allows cross ventilation.
