1. INTRODUCTION

                     1.1. General:

Airports serve as city entrances. They serve as both the initial and
final impressions for visitors to the city and as "cultural connectors"

bringing together individuals from various backgrounds. Global character

and local character are the two primary characteristics and factors that go

into determining airport design. The construction of a common language
for connectivity between many destinations and the facilitation of simple

navigation for individuals with diverse backgrounds and cultures are

fundamental to the worldwide perception of airports. The goal of the local

image is to communicate to visitors a language that captures the essence
of the area's history, character, and culture. An airport's core role as a

transportation hub is complemented by a secondary one as a city

ambassador, reflecting the distinctive character and culture of the city.
                     1.2. Background

Airports, traditionally viewed as transient spaces, are increasingly
becoming focal points for cultural expression and historical representation.

As travelers traverse these gateways, they are greeted not only by the

efficiency of air travel but also by the visual, artistic, and symbolic
elements that encapsulate the essence of the local culture. Airports,

situated at the intersection of global mobility and local rootedness, have

the potential to transcend their functional role and become dynamic
showcases of the rich tapestry of cultural diversity.
