Graphical Abstract
Project Description
This project aims to develop an Agri rover, which can capture under-canopy sugarcane field images to detect diseases. This ground rover helps academicians, farmers, and scientists. The end users can capture under-canopy sugarcane field images, analyze, and identify sugarcane diseases quickly, easily to improve the crop yield. Our Agri rover can be easily operated by farmers and scientists both in manual mode and autonomous mode. When autonomous mode is activated, the rover travels through the sugarcane fields and capture images without manual intervention. We have collected a dataset of 4500 images of different diseases and pests of Sugarcane from the real sugarcane fields around Vellore Sugar Mills, Ammundi, Vellore, India. Scientists can easily assist farmers to improve crop yield without frequent field visits. This will help the end users to improve the sugarcane crop yield with less manual intervention
