Project Description
The flexible supercapacitors (SC), as an essential energy storage component in electronic systems, should satisfy ever-increasing demands of outstanding electrochemical performance under continuous mechanical deformation for long cycles. The objective of this research work is to develop a flexible SC with a high energy that can run a wireless health monitoring device
The health monitoring device may incur mechanical deformations due to continuous bending and straightening, resulting in structural damage or fracture, misalignment, and device failures. To overcome this, we have proposed to use additional novel functionality of shape memory to recover the device's initial shape after mechanical deformations, preventing permanent deformation and extending the service life.
The electrodes will be fabricated employing screen printing at VIT University, Vellore and 3D inkjet printing at BPSU, Philippines. The electrochemical characterization of screen printed, and inkjet printer electrodes will be carried out at the University of Malaya, Malaysia
