Graphical Abstract
Project Description
The objective of the project is to design a spectrum analyzer to monitor the RF signals in the range 10MHz to 18GHz with an instantaneous bandwidth of 80MHz. The digital section of the system is implemented on an FPGA and the analog section is implemented with discrete components. The spectrum analyzer with the necessary specification and hardware will be delivered. The spectrum analyser is an important component in the scientific and technical area of signal analysing and processing. It finds a wide range of applications in which signal power and phase noise calculation are prominent. It is also used in monitoring the RF signal, testing wireless transmitters, microwave systems, mobile communication systems, radar systems, spectrum management, identification of interference, DVBT transmissions, etc. These applications are very crucial in terms of scientific and techno-economic importance, which makes spectrum analysers a vital component in the field of digital signal processing. Moreover, the spectrum analyser is used in a variety of applications such as cognitive radios, signal processing, satellite signal analysis, audio engineering, biomedical applications, etc.
