1.2.6 Does the university offer self-financing programmes? If yes, list
them and indicate if policies regarding admission, fee structure, teacher
qualification and salary are at par with the aided programmes?
All programmes in the University are self financing - Admissions for all the
B.Tech programmes are through VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE)
conducted every year in the month of April. For all the M.Tech Programmes,
admissions are done through the VIT Masters Entrance Examination
(VITMEE). Admission to science and management programmes is based on
the performance in the qualifying examination. Valid score in either of the
competitive examinations (CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT) is essential
for admission to the MBA programme.
Fee structure for all the programmes is approved by the Board of
Management, consisting of representative from UGC / MHRD.
Qualification of the faculty members are as per the AICTE / UGC norms.

conventional face-to-face mode and the distance mode of education and
allow students to choose and combine the courses they are interested in?

Yes, VIT University offers the Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS™) to all
the students for all the programmes. By this, the students can register courses
of their choice and alter the pace of learning within the broad framework of
academic course and by meeting the credit requirements for their programmes.
