ii) Deans and Directors Council includes all Deans and Directors.
These committees meet on a weekly basis.
Following are the aspects considered in this regard.
The University plans to satisfy its aim on becoming the top ranked
University in India and an internationally renowned University in the near
future as a reflection of its
Vision and Mission
statement.
It plans to strengthen its International linkages for
teaching and
learning
through MOUs with excellent Universities, faculty and student
exchange programs, semester abroad programs for students to do their project
work, visiting faculty and twining programs.
University plans to strengthen its
research and consultancy
through
the various national, international funds received by Schools and faculty. The
University plans to promote budding scientists by offering them seed money
for their research. All faculty members are awarded with research funds
through their School funds. It’s increasing strength of good research scholars
are the promise for the future. Publications in journals that are Scopus indexed
/ with high Impact factor which will automatically increase the citation
records; obtaining more patents; obtaining funded projects by every faculty are
the plans for the future.
Human resource planning and development
is also an important
part of strategic planning of the University. University plans its faculty and
staff intake interviews, well in advance and appoints the best suitable ones.
Faculty and staff training programs are well planned for the year by Academic
Staff College, Human resource team, Deans of Schools etc., Faculty and
student exchange programs, visiting faculty from excellent institutes all over
the world also help in enriching the human resource.
It plans to improve
Industrial connectivity
by arranging summits,
guest lectures, trainings, consultancy and MOUs.
The Institute plans to increase the number of productive MOUs with
Universities abroad, increase intake of quality NRI students, plans to support
more number of students abroad programme for doing their final semester
project work, Faculty training programs in reputed International Universities,
as a part of its progress towards
Internationalisation.
