Education constantly coaches the students and helps them to unravel
their inherent talents. Details will be provided during the peer-team
visit.
5.3.2
Give details of the achievements of students in co-curricular,
extracurricular and cultural activities at different levels: University /
State / Zonal / National / International, etc. during the last four years.
The students of VIT are provided with ample opportunities to nurture their
creativity and develop wholesome personality. The students can opt for
membership in any one or more of the following clubs depending on their
interest and take part in all activities of the club.

year
i.e.

International Collegiate Programming Contest).
This
year
around 300 teams participated from all over India in an initial
online coding round held on 19/10/2013 and only 60 teams were
selected for the next round which was onsite round held at IIT
KANPUR on 12-13 december,2013. VIT is the only team qualified for
the onsite round from VIT and represented VIT in the competition held
at IIT-KANPUR

A group of B.Tech third year (Mechanical Engineering) students from
VIT, Chennai campus, Mech students Kanabar Viral, Pratik
Rachchh, Kothari Anshul, Aditya Vasudeva Rao
have come up with
a simple but effective solution to prevent road accidents. The students
have
connected the car’s steering to the brake system, which would
slow down the vehicle when it turns more than a particular angle
.
Quake
is a mobile application that allows students to manage their
class timings and schedules from their phones. The application was
initially developed for Android platform and is in active development
