With tough competitors from AIIMS, KMC, Pondicherry Institute
of Medical Sciences, MCC, SSN, Sastra, Manipal, SVCE and of
course the host, our invincible literary warriors of 17 boys and 8 girls
emerged victoriously in almost all the intense and enthralling literary
events. The students representing the University are provided with

Healthcare facility is available round the clock at the VIT Health Centre.
With 6453 sq.ft. space in the first floor & 1511 sq. ft in the health centre
annexe (ground floor) of AL Mudalaiyar Block, it has 18 In-patient beds,
4 observation beds, 5 consultation rooms and a pharmacy. For patients
convenience five full time doctors and two part time doctors are
employed to render 24 hours service, with support from 10 staff nurses,
1 health assistant, 1 male nursing assistant, 1 pharmacist, 2 lab
technicians, 1 assistant, 1 DEO & 4 hospital workers. In addition, ten
specialist and physiotherapy services are available as visiting consultants
(list enclosed below). It is also equipped with an ECG machine, Pulse
oximeter, emergency medicines and three ambulances. All treatment,
consultation & medicines including lab investigations are carried out free
of cost for all students, staff & staff dependents. The Health Centre
annexe (Speciality wing) is also opened in the ground floor of the same
building in which all specialists out patients are seen including
physiotherapy. The first aid centres at men’s hostel and at ladies hostel is
functioning round the clock.
